Park West Gallery Tours Dominic Pangborn’s Studio
The Park West Gallery bloggers recently visited artist Dominic Pangborn at his studio in Detroit, Michigan…and we have brought back photos to share with everyone! What was most evident during the studio visit was Pangborn’s unwavering passion for art and for life in general; he never stops creatively exploring new mediums, new techniques, and new ideals. He generates over 2,500 to 3,000 drawings per year, which serve as inspirations for his paintings. His paintings are diverse, ranging from non-representational abstracts to photo realism. Salvador Dalí's Alice in Wonderland Suite
Salvador Dali: Down the Rabbit Hole
FORT LAUDERDALE—The release of Tim Burton’s film version of Alice in Wonderland this past March has put the spotlight back on Lewis Carroll’s classic 1865 fairytale along with the many artistic visualizations of the novel. It turns out that just like the rest of us, Surrealist Master Salvador Dali was intrigued by Alice in Wonderland, and he created a suite of lithographs in response to the literary classic. The Ansin Family Art Gallery in the Miramar Cultural Center is currently showcasing these rare lithographs in Down the Rabbit Hole. On view until September 2010 | Exhibit Details >>
